- What is a "Juried Show?
A "Juried Show" simply means, that the submissions will be judged. Only officially selected works will be hung in the live show. However, all work will be shown in our Digital Gallery/Exhibit. This is why we require a digital submission. Also a portion of ALL entry fees will go towards breast cancer research.
- Am I responsible for Shipping Costs?
Yes. If your piece is accepted to one of the two live shows you will be required to ship your piece to us (We'll provide all the details.)
We will return the piece to you and cover the shipping that way.
- How many pieces may I submit?
You may submit up to 3 pieces. (Only one entry fee required per artist)
- Why do you charge an entry fee?
As this event has grown each year it has become more and more costly to hold. This year's showing is likely to be be the largest yet so therefore we are renting out a larger gallery space, providing more food and beverages, and will even be featuring live music.
Rest assured, as with art sales, a portion of all entry fees is going towards breast cancer research.
The entry fee is a part of your donation.
- If my work sells what happens next?
If your work sells you will receive a check for 50% of the sale 2 weeks after the original transaction. The Gallery receives the other half. 30% of the gallery's take is then donated to a breast cancer charity.
- Am I guaranteed that my work will be shown in the Digital Gallery/Exhibit?
Yes, but keep in mind, this is a show about breast so have fun with it but please no offensive material....use good judgment
- What time is the event?
- What does "ready to hang" mean?
We would prefer your work to be framed, if this is not possible make sure it is mounted onto something sturdy and presentable. THERE NEEDS TO BE A WAY TO HANG IT ON THE WALL!! Please don't give us mounted art with no way to present it on a wall. It's as simple as this: If your piece(s) are not able to hung then they will not be shown.
- Can I see any photos/samples of past years work/events?
Sure. 2009 Gallery, 2008 Gallery, 2007 Gallery
- Can I sell prints at the Event?
Yes! We encourage artist to have prints. This will be a much easier way for you to make money. People tend to buy prints before originals due to high price tags.
There will be a booth just for prints. You are responsible for printing and pricing your prints. The Gallery takes 25% of the sales from prints so you will receive 75%. A check will be given to you when you pick your work up. If your piece was sold we will send you a check for the work sold and the prints 2 week after all transactions are complete (when the gallery receives the money)
